Fermentation Festival & Farm-Art D-Tour

Incredible weather weekend in La Valle - Reedsburg (WI) area for an amazing event!! It's a festival of agriculture and art and is done so well. Driving part of the 50 mile loop here is a sampling of what we experienced...but it's just avery small example.

Painted feed silos and just down the rosd a display of old tractors with a young artist singing (he was very good!!) ...

Home grown items everywhere - homemade goodness. Next to it is one of the many signs (the art on the barn below was probably 2 stories tall)

The festival celebrates canning, preserving, fermenting and enjoying the fruits from the land ...

The "Art" is so creative on display in unique places along the "D-Tour ... Earthworm and a tractor buried in a firewood...sooooo cool..

Then artists made frames from pieces of old farm equipment and they "framed" a form in the distance ..

Our absolute favorite was this artist sitting on ahay-wagon, tractor attached, on a hill in an upper meadow with beautifil ridges of fall color all around - singing some of her beautiful music. You had to be there but she was so moving. Shawndell Marks - check ot her music!

The all-pallet shed was interesting in terms of utilizing/recycling materials for shelter ...

Of course the naturat art was at the Guss home ... great lake view and a Maple tree with all it's leaves down but real- live-art ...

My morning view when I woke up this morning - whata great start to the day!

Finn posed for me just before we left to return home and savor an incediblbe experience...
Good Times and already looking forwad to taking in even more of the event next year!
