Fantastic weather weekend in LaValle visiting Carolyn & Ted..
...Scout always quietly joining us on the deck ... enjoying the sun.
What a view. I could sit there all day just take in the air and serenity...
...except the lake was calling so off we went on the boat...

Dinner and drinks Satuday evening at "The Noth End" was great - even though Ted and I lost miserably at euchre.
After dinner we hung out of the Guss' deck late into the evening watching the Persied Meteor Showers in an amazingly dark night sky ... very cool. We even saw the International Space Station zoom from horizon to horizon.
On our way home today we pulled over for an up-close-and-personal look into this massive field of Sunflowers...absolutely beautiful and the general "hum" of bees everywhere was really something!
