Meandering Wisconsin

Started the morning hiking Pewit's Nest, an incredible little gem of a natural site outside of Baraboo. It didn't hurt that the fall colors were at peak, the temps warm, and the beauty of this 40-50' gorge and waterfalls were all ours!!

Pat leading the way ...
Pure Wisconsin ...sandstone cliffs, clear running water ...
One of the 4 falls that rush through the gorge ...
Looking down into another fall ...
 Solitude.
As we meandered around Wisconsin, we stopped outside of Spring Green and waaaaaay in the distance is the Frank Lloyd Wright "House on the Rock" ...even better was the natural "Sky-Art" in play over the fall color landscape!
Colors galore - our weekend jaunt was well-timed!
We finished our meandering in the cool, artsy town of Mineral Point ..
Sometimes it's just nice to take the day off and meander. We saw some amazing things and were luck to have Mother Nature cooperating every step of the way.
